Audi will soon release their new 2018 Audi RS5 Convertible car. This will most likely take place after introducing next generation of RS5 coupe. Audi still did not release any official statement regarding future RS5 Cabriolet, but speculations are now more often than ever. 2018 RS5 Convertible design will be based on the Prologue concept, which was revealed back in 2014 at the LA Auto Show. Production will be done on MLB Evo platform.
Audi will install LED headlights and taillights as well as daytime running lights on their upcoming convertible. Front end will most likely feature glossy-black honeycomb grille with aluminum surroundings. At the back 2018 RS5 comes with dual exhaust pipes and a lip spoiler. It will run on big 19-inch multi-spoke wheels. Speaking of 2018 RS5 Convertible interior design, it should be similar to the one found on new Audi A5 model. Inside the cabin, it will have place only for 4 passengers. Upholstery will be made out of either Alcantara or leather. For other details, Audi will use carbon-fiber, wood and aluminum. Expect to see flat-bottom steering wheel, cooled and heated seats, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit display, new MMI infotainment system, Bang&Olufsen sound system, LED lighting, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, USB and wireless charger. Safety systems will include automatic braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and rear cross traffic alert.

2018 Audi RS5 Convertible engine will be 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 unit. It will produce 465 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque. Acceleration time from 0 to 60 mph will be set in 4.7 seconds. 2018 Audi RS5 Convertible top speed should be limited to 155 mph. Power from the V6 engine will be sent to the all-wheel drive system through 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Audi will also offer bigger brakes, improved suspension and electronic differential.

2018 Audi RS5 Convertible release date is expected during 2017, probably in Paris. Biggest competitors on the market will be BMW M4 Convertible and Mercedes-AMG C63 Convertible. 2018 Audi RS5 Convertible price should be set at $85,000 for base version without extra equipment.
