Chevy is ready for releasing all new 2018 Chevrolet Trax. There will be no big changes for upcoming 2018 model. It will actually carry over changes which were introduced in 2017 version. Chevy will again offer several different trims for the Trax: base LS, mid-range LT and top of the range Premier.
Trax LS and LT will run on 16-inch alloy wheels, while Premier version will have 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, expect to see basic upholstery on LS version, while Premier should get Leather trim. Future 2018 Trax will have many safety features such as blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic detection, lane departure warning, forward collision alert and rearview camera. Other Trax equipment will include OnStar service, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Chevy MyLink, leather steering wheel, 7-inch dashboard touchscreen, parking assistant and keyless entry.

2018 Chevrolet Trax engine will be 4-cylinder 1.4-liter turbocharged unit with ability to produce 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque. This engine will be combined with 6-speed automatic gearbox. All-wheel drive is available, but it is not intended for heavy off-road maneuvering. Low ground clearance, which is only 6.2-inches, also impacts off-road performance. 2018 Chevrolet Trax fuel economy is rated at 25 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway, averaging 28 mpg. Trax with AWD will do 24 mpg in the city, 30 mpg on the highway and 27 mpg combined.

2018 Chevrolet Trax price for the base LS model should be set around $22,000. Next in the line is Trax LT, which will be sold for approximately $24,000. Top of the range 2018 Chevy Trax Premiere price should be set somewhere around $27,000. Best competitors on the market will be Honda HR-V, Toyota C-HR, Mazda CX-3, Nissan Rogue Sport, Ford EcoSport and Subaru Crosstrek. 2018 Chevrolet Trax release date is expected by the end of 2017.
