Honda is preparing completely redesigned Accord, which will be offered on the market as 2018 Honda Accord. It will receive all-new platform, as well as many interior and exterior design upgrades. New camouflaged Accord was spotted during road testing, and it is obviously very close to official release. Production of future 2018 Accord will be based on new Civic model and its modular platform.
This will enable Honda to use same engine lineup, as well as the suspension in both cars. This kind of solution will lower production costs significantly. Exterior design will now feature more coupe-like look, instead of old sedan look. New Accord is much lower and wider up front. Some design solutions will be taken from new Honda Civic, which will give it more aggressive appearance. Speaking of upcoming 2018 Accord interior design, there is no official information at the moment. We expect to see new improved bigger touchscreen infotainment system.
