Honda is preparing to release 2018 Honda Civic model on the market very soon. All three versions will be offered: sedan, coupe and hatchback. 2018 Civic sedan will be offered in LX, EX, EX-T EX-L and Touring trim. Civic coupe comes in LX, LX-P, EX-T, EX-L and Touring trim. 2018 Civic hatchback will be offered in LX, EX, EX-L Navi, Sport and Sport Touring trim. Also expect to see Civic Si and famous Type R versions as well.
All models will certainly get more aggressive look. Speaking of interior design changes, there should not be any drastic changes. All design cues should carry over from current model. 2018 Honda Civic equipment will include review camera, automatic climate control, remote engine start, power sunroof, Lane Watch blind-spot camera, Android Auto, CarPlay, heated leather front seats, navigation system and LED headlights. Honda Sensing suite will be standard on Touring and Sport Touring trims. This package offers adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning with automatic steering correction, automatic high-beam headlights and autonomous emergency braking.
2018 Honda Civic engine and fuel economy specs
2018 Honda Civic engine for LX, LX-P coupe and EX sedan version will be 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. Civic Sport and Sport Touring will be powered by 1.5-liter turbo engine with 180 horsepower and 167 lb-ft of torque. Other version will generate 174 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. Engines in LX, EX-T and Sport trims will be coupled with either 6-speed manual or optional CVT. 2018 Civic LX-P, EX-L and Touring trim will come with CVT as standard. 2018 Honda Civic fuel economy specs will be same as on current Civic. 2.0-liter Civic should do 28/40/32 mpg with manual gearbox and 31/40/34 mpg with the CVT. 2018 Civic with 1.5-liter turbo engine is rated at 31/42/35 mpg with manual gearbox and 32/42/36 mpg with the CVT gearbox. Coupe with 2.0-liter engine is rates at 28/39/32 mpg with manual transmission and 30/39/34 mpg with the CVT. 1.5-liter turbo in coupe should do 30/41/35 mpg with manual transmission and 31/40/35 mpg with the CVT. Hatchback Civic rates at 31/40/34 mpg, except LX model, which can do 30/39/33 mpg. Sport and Sport Touring trims with the CVT rates at 30/36/32 mpg, while manual can do 30/39/33 mpg.
2018 Honda Civic release date and price review
2018 Honda Civic release date is expected in fall 2017. Biggest competitors on the market will be Hyundai Elantra, Kia Forte, Mazda 3, VW Golf, VW Jetta, Ford Focus, Chevrolet Cruze and Toyota Corolla. 2018 Honda Civic price will range from $19,600 up to $28,500 for sedan version. Civic coupe version should be a little bit more expensive. Hatchback Civic models will be priced from $20,500 up to $28,500.
