High performance convertibles were always one of the main advantages for Mercedes-Benz. Not so long ago, Mercedes SLS and SLS Roadster were discontinued, so they had to offer something new on the market. After some rumors about GT convertible, we now have official confirmation for this release. Two cars that we will see in the near future are 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT-C Roadster and GT Roadster.
Overall design and profile are very similar to the SLS Roadster. Also, some design details have been taken from GT-R model as well. For example, front grille and lower section of the upper front bumper are based on the SLS, but upper section and rear end are similar to GT-R. Future GT and GT-S models should also have same design. 2018 AMG GT-C Roadster will be 2.25 inches wider. Base GT Roadster will get the engine from the GT, as well as new suspension. Up front, new GT-C Roadster will run on 19-inch rims, while at the back it will have 20-inch wheels. Limited slip differential and rear axle steering are also available.

This V8 engine is capable of producing 550 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque. 2018 GT-C Roadster top speed is set at 196 mph, while it can reach 60 mph in 3.7 seconds.
