New 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 will have option to choose between PDK and manual transmission. New 911 GT3 has 6.4 lbs. per horsepower power to weight ratio, thanks to the use of lightweight materials. Version with 7-speed PDK gearbox weighs 3,153 lbs., while GT3 with manual transmission is lighter – 3,116 lbs. This model is also equipped with active rear-axle steering and rear locking differential. Inside the cabin, GT3 has 14.1-inch GT Sport steering wheel from 918 Spyder. Standard equipment will now include both Porsche Track Precision app and Porsche Communication Management system. Exterior design changes will include redesigned rear diffuser, refreshed exhaust, carbon fiber wing and revised front spoiler.

2018 Porsche 911 GT3 engine will be naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six unit with ability to produce 500 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. Engine will be mated to a standard 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission, while 6-speed manual gearbox will be available as optional upgrade. 2018 911 GT3 top speed is set at 197 mph. Acceleration time from 0 to 60 mph is achieved in only 3.2 seconds with PDK gearbox. Manual version is slightly slower than PDK; it will reach 60mph in 3.8 seconds. 2018 911 GT3 will run on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
